whoa!

i'm interested to see this movie

wonderfully provocative promo comments...

Bowling for Columbine did it to the gun culture.

Super Size Me did it to fast food.

Now The God Who Wasn't There does it to religion.

The movie that has been astounding audiences in theaters around the world is now available on a high-quality, feature-packed DVD. Own the taboo-shattering documentary that Newsweek says "irreverently lays out the case that Jesus Christ never existed."

is religion really an analog to fast food and guns?  Lord, help us if people generally believe this to be true.  i hope faithful people of God overturn this perception with gracious lives of love and justice.

god does seem to be in a far off country on vacation...... but...... when you have heard the voice of god, felt him shake you, seen healing in front of your eyes, had a vision, a spiritual dream.......... you know he is. why is he quiet? why does he not demonstrate to the world he is our creator? why is there so much sickness and hunger in the world. god is mysterious, and, obviously, he is not all about proving himself. maybe, becuase god is secure in who he is that he does not care about proving anything to people who do not like him or respect him. god has his friends, and i am one of them. becuase i have experianced all of the above contacts from the devine, i know he is. exactly who he is, why he is, or what makes him tick he does not have to explain to me.

There is so much evidence of Jesus Christs existence in the annals of history that no one can intelligently say He never existed.
The truth is there for true seekers. God said to search for wisdom as someone might who was looking for treasure. With all your passion, strength, intelligence etc.

I think things like http://www.newbethelchurchky.org/openCarryCelebration.htm may be working against the Christian faith...
