for days this story has been haunting us. it is staggering to me, completely unreal, that just south of this country, which is suffering from an epidemic of obesity, people are forced to eat that which is inedible.

Hello, I'm new to your blog, discovering it while on a quest to better understand inentional Christian Communities.
Your Haiti blog made me think of Paul Farmer who is doing incredible work in Haiti & other poor areas of the world. If you're not familiar with him, the book MOUNTAINS BEYOND MOUNTAINS is a good introduction. Several You Tube videos also exist.
