a scandal

"The scandal of the church is that the Christ-event is no longer life-changing; it has become life-enhancing. We've lost the power and the joy that make real disciples and we've become consumers of religion and not disciples of Jesus Christ."

Dr J Sentamu (now Archbishop of York)

sorry, I couldn't find a convenient place to just send a message without replying to a post.

I mean no disrespect, but I'm confused. Are you Hindu, or Christian?

hi laterain,
we are a group of people committed to Jesus (hence all the jesus talk in the posts :) we tend to talk about ourselves as a missional community. we take 'the ashram' from a christian missionary to india who used the hindu model of an ashram as a way to create space and share life with a group of people seeking to live in the ways of Jesus (the missionaries name is E. Stanley Jones - if you google his name and/or 'christain ashrams' you will get more info). as far as i know there are no practicing hindus in our community. thanks for visiting our blog.
